I love that I can still be surprised by the most random things. Weeks ago, AJ and I got a free pumpkin from Trader Joe's. It's a big monster, a good 14-15 inches across, but super flat. It's also dead white. So, I just finished hacking it into small pieces (glares at near-blister) to later steam and turn into goodies. It's bright orange inside, with a narrow green layer between the meat and the heavy white rind. Sounds like a cantaloupe, right? Weirder... it totally SMELLS like a cantaloupe! I verified with Amy and she concurred. Many, I can't WAIT to see what it tastes like!
