Grateful, Month 2, Day 2
Sep. 2nd, 2011 08:26 pmAfter a nap, my earlier headache was moderately better. So, I took the second of the birth control pills that Amy gave me to try and slow down my CONSTANT girlie bleeding and had a couple of crabcakes for my empty belleh. Some time later, my face is covered in itchy hives and I'm hyper with adrenaline as my body starts to fight whatever I'm having an allergic to.
Last time this happened I was 19 years old and that was the 5th reaction I'd had over several years. I was taken to the ER for 2 of them, hyperventilating and covered in hives. To this day, no one has a clue what I reacted to, except that it was food related. Luckily this time, unlike those long-ago attacks, there was no belly pain or itching mucous membranes. That means that my breathing was never more compromised than simple hay-fever symptoms. Because, you bet you ass I would have raced to the ER is that had happened, the non-existent money be damned.
So, aside from some sore, swollen spots on my face that were the worst of the hives, I feel completely fine. Thank all that's holy...
